Quick version of our engagement story, since I didn't blog back then: Dave made a picnic lunch (all my favs- chocolate dipped strawberries, sparkling lemonade, oreos, lime chips, chicken salad sandwich) and we drove up the loop during the end of conference. He set up the picnic in a little grove. He told me that he wrote our "love story" and wanted to read it to me. I knew he had ordered a ring, but he had convinced me (despite my begging) that he wouldn't propose until it was ready. Well, he read our three page story and as he turned to the last page it said that he found his"girl" in a grove of trees and got down on one knee . . . he then pulled out a (fake) ring and proposed. I was so happy I couldn't eat anything (until my smile started to hurt and I got car sick on the way down) He bought us a family journal to continue our love story in. It was the perfect proposal and every fall the memories of being so in love return. He is Mr. Romantic, although he probably doesn't want anyone but me to know that! I love you Dave!

This is just the beginning of a very sad face Jackson gives us. His little lower lip sticks out and it is so cute, sometimes I laugh even though he is so sad (don't tell anyone, they'll think I am a bad mother). I hope he never uses this lip to get what he wants, because he definitely has me wrapped around his finger (or lip?) when he sticks it out!

What perfect pictures. How long did that take you to catch those smiles of Jackson? We can never get Savanna to do that when we pull out the camera. Too cute.
P.S. I love the tie!
YAY! A new post! I just love your cute engagement story. It is just one of those stories that melt your heart. Dave, you're so romantic.
And, I cannot get over that lower lip. That is so cute! I wish I could get a pic of Maia ready to cry.
