Family Parties

Easter is a fun time to get together with family.  Especially since it was the final weekend before Dave's parents headed to Germany.  We created many happy memories together before their departure.
Jackson LOVES his cousins!

We miss our parents already, but are so proud of them and their example to us and our children.  Thank you!

Bedtime stories . . .Jackson can help!

My cousin gave us this book when Hallie was born. The first read through I thought it was a little silly, but Jackson never wanted me to stop. Now this is how we read it . . .

My doll at 3 months

Can you get any cuter than this doll?  Hallie is 3 months old now.  She is such a joy!  She LOVES to smile and be social and her whole body wiggles and giggles.  I'm surprised all these shots aren't fuzzy!  I sure love this girl!

And this little critter is SO fun!  Here he sports his cinnamon 5 o'clock shadow.  He was so busy dancing away to the overhead music at costa vida, he could eat more than his dessert.

Our Family makes me happy!  We miss our parents already.  They should be in Germany by now!  We are so proud of them!

What exactly does he think this movie is about?!?

Jackson:  "I'm Buzz Lightyear, I come and pee"
(I come in peace)

Conference?

Thanks for the well wishes.  It was only 24 hours of misery and then I was great!  We all have mild colds, but nothing too serious.
On the other hand, this weekend was seriously disappointing.  Lest you think I disagreed or didn't like what the prophets had to say, I will let you know that I have NO idea what they even said!  Is this how life will be for the next 10 years of having a 2 year old?  Jackson refused to play quietly or play at all.  Hallie contributed her share of screaming as well.  Most of our time was spent locked in our bedroom with one or 2 crying kids trying to listen on the radio, or locked in the bathroom to alleviate noise to others.  I guess it is part of sacrificing what you want to care for others. . .   We have great plans to listen after the kids are in bed this week, I hope that goes better.   The few moments I did catch made me yearn for more.  Be thankful for well behaved kids (If you have them).  I feel like we were taking parenting 505 this weekend (and I realize that just means I have so much more to learn than some of you!)
If you missed it too, check it out here this week!
Here is a poster I made for Jackson.  If only timeout actually worked for him . . .any other ideas?  Saying "don't" only eggs Jackson on to actually do it (or to scream loudly and annoyingly)

We did enjoy spending time with family especially before their mission.
My in-laws go to the MTC today. I made them an 18-month Calendar.  You can see the toppers here if you are interested.
Hope you had a great weekend.  I would love to hear what inspired you or which talks we should go listen to first.

haha! Jokes on me!

I went to bed at 1, fed Hallie at 2 and at 4 and have had food poisoning ever since . . .
I jinxed  myself saying my blessings out loud (or at least typing them . . .)
