All love and marriage . . .and I helped!

Tyler's Engaged! He and I set up a picnic in Provo Canyon. With a beautiful view and good food (prepared by me) he popped the question and Kacey Holt said "YES!" Way to go, little bro!)

The date is August 15. I am so excited for my little brother and even more excited that Kacey will be joining our family. She is beautiful, kind, funny, and loving. We are lucky to get her!

Dave's Birthday

Dave turned 30 today and thanks to many of you, I sent him 30 emails (with "one to grow on" from the baby). That told him all the reasons he was loved. He was suprised and happy when he saw that he had 31 new messages! We went to Tucanos and to see the movie "Iron Man". What more could a man ask for? He is an incredible husband. I couldn't ask for any better!

The stork is coming!

Profile of his face is pointing up.

A guy in our ward needed a test for one of his ultra sound students and I was more than happy to be the "victim". Yes, I know I have gotten to see this baby early more than most people saw all of their babies combined (total of 6 ultrasounds) But what can I say, Dave is the type who would open all his Christmas presents early and then rewrap them, just to be sure he knew what he was getting!

We found out that the fat thing that is under my right rib is a bum. The movement on the left side is all limbs, mostly the legs and feet. So when he pushes his legs out (on the left) his bum in turn pushes out (to the right or under my ribs). I feel like I am going to be ripped apart at the belly button.

The sweetest part was when he yawned right as the ultra sound was looking at his face and we got a shot of his tongue! It's strange to think it is a real little boy inside. But he is moving enough I won't forget it!

Her is the baby's room as of yet. Hopefully by July there is room for him in the crib!

Pampering the Preggo's

Jenny invited a bunch of us to a spa night at her house. We enjoyed revitalizing and relaxing hand scrubs, feet scrubs, lip masks, face mask, facials and even head massages. It was perfect for the last week of school.

Here is a pic of my cousin Dixie and Sister-in-Law MaryAnn. We are all due within 2 weeks of each other, but I was amazed at how differently we are carrying our babies.

The Best of Times and the Worst of Times

Over Spring break (April 12-21). Dave and I headed to Houston to visit his sister and then to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for 5 days. We had a great time together, enjoyed beautiful scenery and relaxed on the beach, but also had some disappointments. Due to unforseen camera damage/difficulties the following pictures may or may not be acurate representations of our trip.

Best: Houston weather
Worst: Leaving the ipod on the plane

Best: Playing with nieces and nephews
Worst: twisting Dave's ankle and hurting Jamie's belly

Best: Meals cooked by Lori :)
Worst: Paying Taxes

Best: Beachfront hotel, 2 pools, thatched roofs, hammock, beautiful grounds . . .
Worst: whale size sandbags on the beach.

Best: All-you-can-eat buffets, snack bars, drinks and restaurants
Worst:20 extra pounds

Best: Sunshine and tanning
Worst: $20 for sunscreen . . . 5 more for aloe after you are burnt.

Best: Warm, crystal clear water . . .
Worst: watching our camera and pictures sink to the bottom*

*Sorry no images available, please see above for further explanation

Best: awesome ruins and beach at Tulum
Worst: awesome camera ruined at Tulum

Best: Full moon every night on the beach (romantic!)
Worst: Early birds- literally birds

Worst: missing our connection in Houston, missing Dave's interview with BYU and having to write Jamie's sub plans via my mom.
Best: a nice hotel and more buffet in Houston.

Best: coming home to Orem (even if it was freezing)
Worst: Computer crashes . . .losing 'stuff'

Big baby Harper

Baby Harper posed for his photoshoot yesterday at the 3D ultrasound store. He squirmed and kicked the whole time causing his little home to shake and thus, mom to start laughing. It was confirmed that he is a boy. We got to see him move, swallow, pump his heart and even yawn. The photographer said he was a bit on the chunky side which is what we like to hear. I think he has his daddy's lips. What do you think?

So thats our Healthy baby boy, due July 21!

Dave's great accomplishments

After studying long and hard for the GMAT and passing with flying colors, THEN after writing hours and hours of essays and filling in applications, AND after going through interviews that required long hard travel to attend, Dave found out that he is accepted to BYU and will begin to attend in the fall of 2008! We are so excited to be staying close to family and go to a school that shares our priorities and values. He is a smart guy and will do well in the MBA program at BYU!
