After months of preparing and worrying about labor, delievery, recovery, breast feeding and anything else there was to worry about, I am finally living through it and discovering that I am so lucky and blessed. Everything is going very smoothly and better than I could have imagined (labor excluded). Jackson is eating like a champ. He is peaceful and easy to put to sleep. Last night I had to wake him up to eat. He is patient with me as I learn to feed him, even though I tease him several times before actually giving him the food (I am still scared). He loves to look around.

I am recovering quicker than I thought possible. However, it is still a mystery to me that I can get so worn out taking a walk around the block. But I guess that is all part of giving birth to something you have been nourishing for 9 months.
Dave loves to see him sleeping, but gets scared when he is awake because he might cry. Dave is an awesome "swaddler". Despite Jackson's protest's, he loves the swaddle because it allows him to sleep without getting hit in the face by his own hands.

We feel so lucky to have supportive friends and family and love to show him off anytime we can. Thanks for your love and excitement for us.

I am so glad to hear that he is doing well. Let us know if there is anything you need. We've stayed away these past few days to give you some time for the other millions of vistors you've probably had. Hopefully you've been able to sleep and are doing well!
Congratulations! I just got back and this was such a happy surprise to come home to! He looks absolutely perfect. I am so glad your labor went so well and that you are enjoying parenthood as much as I always knew you would. Take it easy and give that baby a snuggle from me.
He's so beautiful! And you looked SO MUCH BETTER than I did after giving birth. I still can't believe I actually posted that picture...
How fun that we had our babies the same day! Now we can sympathize with each other for the next 18 years! I'm glad he's such a good baby. Hope you're getting a decent amount of sleep...
