First time Hosting

My parents decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather in AZ and spend Thanksgiving with us.  I have been so excited to host people at our house!  I realized that living in Utah we never really had that chance because we were always going to our parents house.  I don't think it will be anything spectacular, but I've enjoyed planning a meal, getting guest items ready and getting Jackson excited for guests.  We tried to make Turkey decor (and once again, failed . . .)

I hope everything goes smoothly and everyone of all ages has fun with family, luckily my family is really laid back and will enjoy anything :).  We're also excited to have babysitters so we can hit up the Black Friday shopping again for the 5th year in a row.

I love the place cards, they turned out cute. You are so great at letting your kid join in on the fun, I hope that I do the same for my kids one day. :) I am afraid that I would be too much of a perfectionist to let them do stuff.

Hey we're in the same boat this year. It is our first time hosting Thanksgiving at our house. I've never cooked a turkey before and I'm a little scared:)

I think all of the decorations turned out cute. Seriously, and I thought "I" was the perfectionist:)

I was thinking about black friday shopping the other day and actually thought, "jamie and dave won't be able to do their annual B.F. shopping...unless they wake up their kids(!?)"
Glad you satisfied my curiosity! Wish I was there.
